Mulata contains the fire, the happiness, the mysticism of its race, sandunga like the rum that drinks by the ear and flavor when combining music and Cuban rum that equals and join the people and in the senses dynamize the life, that is the main characteristic of our brand.
Another important citation of our Fernando Ortiz who allowed an inspiration for the creation of Mulata like part of the national identity “But is not less doubtless that the more representative music of Cuba, that has always given world-wide resonance, is it that one that fused with torrents of africania, is this crucible criollo (creole) put to the tropical fire; product of a transcultural blanquinegra (white/black). Tickle to the white guitar, tearing its guts over the entrails opened between its hips; caresses to the black drum and I handle his hot skin. Mestizo combination, that is, Mulata music”.
He also says in another one of loquacious citations “Or we will say Mulata without error, neither encomio nor less price, because the mulata-ness or metizo-ness is not an insubstantial hybridism nor eclecticism, nor discoloration, but simply a vital and fertile reality, fruit generated by copula of pigmentations and cultures, new substance, new color, an alquitarado product of the transcultural.
The Mulata and the Cuban rum arise in the same period of social development, the slavery, they are developed and accentuated in the independence stage and are associate to the identity and the sincretism of the Cuban.
The majority presence of mixture of European and African races in our society, the necessity to create a brand to represent another of the emblematic products of our country, the Cuban rum, was the cause of which a group of creators also with afro-cuban blood gave another gift from Cuba to the world, our Ron Mulata. In this brand the main bases take shelter of the production technology of a rum: the mixtures, the time, the selection of the raw materials that compose it and their exposition to the tropical sun of the greater of the Antilles, make it a genuine Cuban product.
